From Austin, Texas ... Eleven songs stretching between the roots of Louisiana and Texas music, Bayou Teche is a look back through the landscapes and people of his origins. Viator covers the swampy southern soul and blues from Cajun country to the dusty stories of the Rio Grande, turning out poignant acoustic blues, pop, and modern folk music. His acoustic and electric slide guitar work set the musical tone for this journey across the American South.
Co-produced by Jane Gillman and recorded by Eric Blakely, Bayou Teche features a lineup of great Austin, Texas musicians, including:
Charlie Larkey, Ron Erwin, Susan Maxey, Erik Hokkanen, Peter Schwarz, Serge Laine, Rich Brotherton, Lisa Mednick, John Main, and Paul Pearcy.
Special guests include Slaid Cleaves and Marcia Ball.
